Dr. Saskia Lytle-Vieira

Meet Dr. Saskia Lytle-Vieira

From a very young age, I knew I was meant to be a doctor. Little did I know I would find osteopathy, which would be such an enormous blessing in my life and a way of practicing medicine that makes my heart sing. Osteopathy is my life’s work, and patients absolutely love it.

It is my hope that you can find a physician who cares about you and can provide an outstanding level of expertise, support, and love.

Dr. Lytle-Vieira:

  • Is board certified and residency trained in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine/Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine. She completed her residency at St Barnabas Hospital in Bronx NY and Plainview Hospital in NY.

  • Is honored to have been personally trained by Dr James Jealous for 20 years before his passing in 2021, and by Dr Hugh Ettlinger at St. Barnabas Hospital, both of whom have heavily influenced her practice of osteopathy.

Dr. Saskia Lytle-Vieira, DO, is a board certified osteopathic physician (medical doctor) in Austin, Texas specializing in traditional osteopathy/osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM) for infants, children, and adults.

She treats a wide range of musculoskeletal and nervous system problems from a hands on osteopathic perspective, including back pain, neck pain, and joint problems. She has a special interest in treating adults and children with traumatic brain injury/concussion, pain after car accidents, neck pain, headaches/migraines, vertigo, and TMJ problems, as well as babies with colic and feeding problems.

She has been in solo private practice since 2008, having practiced medicine in Oklahoma, Tennessee, and California before moving to Austin in 2021.

Dr. Lytle-Vieira has worked in both hospital and outpatient settings, treating patients of all ages and medical conditions, including pregnant women, newborn babies, children, critically ill (intensive care) patients, post surgical patients, chronic pain patients, and adults with acute and chronic illnesses.

When not seeing patients in her Austin office, Dr. Lytle-Vieira enjoys traveling around the world with the World Wildlife Fund and National Geographic, having visited the Galapagos Islands, Costa Rica, Croatia, and Iceland. In the Galapagos, she had a wonderful encounter with a very friendly (and large) sea lion who sought her out.

“The human body is like a concert hall where superb and stunning symphonies are played- every note in its right time, exemplifying perfection between the interdependent systems of the body.”
